See what I did there? With the post title? I love puns. Don’t mind me.
Anyway, after gazing at a computer screen for more hours than I can count, it’s nice to actually hold Sought After Blood Lines Book 1 in my hands and physically turn the pages. (I can’t lie to you folks, I did a happy dance—one I’m sure glad you did not see.)
To take that initial pun further, I suppose I do have my “proof” after all… That I can write AND complete a book. I’ve delved into poetry and its brevity for so long that I thought any other feat would be just too much for me to handle. The reason I’m sharing this with you is because I believe you are capable of more than you think you can handle. Don’t let an out-of-your-comfort-zone challenge stop you. Let it fuel you!
Now, all I have to do is read through SABL one final time to make 100% sure that it’s near-perfect. (Let’s face it, there is no such thing as complete perfection.) My wonderful editor David Batterson is going to get back to me within a few days as well to ensure that I didn’t miss anything.
After reading this SO many times, it’s difficult to edit my own work (all while remaining objective) even though I’m an editor myself. So a recommendation (more like a must) for any author (novice or experienced) is to get yourself an editor. David’s a great guy, so feel free to give his services a try and let him know I referred you.
